WILDLIFE TRANSER DATABASE
In support of the conclusions of the IAEA Biota working group and others, the PROTECTevaluation of available models demonstrated that the transfer components of the tools contributes most to the overall uncertainty of the dose rate predictions. Acting on such findings the IAEA EMRAS IIprogrammes WG 5 is working to collate data on the transfer of radionuclides to wildlife to support the production of Technical Report series handbook. In collaboration with an ICRP Committee 5 working group and the IUR, the EMRAS II WG is using an online database which is now available for use. Your assistance in populating the database with any suitable data on concentration ratios that you may have would be welcomed.
Once you have registered to use the database, there is an help/guidance document available which explains what information we are looking for, how to navigate within the website and complete the database fields. Please note that we will be continuing to modify the design of the website (for example, we know that the view summary pages are currently not working correctly).
The help file to the online database can be accessed here. Qustions and answers with regard to database can be found here.
If you have any queries with how to use the site/find any probelms with the database please do not hesitate to contact either Nick Beresford or David Copplestone.
Please forward the website details on to anyone else you think might have data that they would be willing to add to the database.
